The AFS Book Club meets Dr. Ioannis Baziotis!
Οur Book Club members, along with the students from the School's "Arcadia" program, meet the geologist, professor and author Ioannis Baziotis, on the occasion of his book "A Greek in Antartica" (in Greek). Dr. Baziotis will share his experience as the first Greek scientist-member of the 41st NASA mission to Antarctica in search of meteorites in November 2017!

On Friday, December 7th 2018 our 2nd grade elementary students will meet the famous Greek musician Foivos Delivorias, who is going to present his book "Tell me your name" (in Greek). The event is organized by the AFS Elementary School and our Library!

Greek author Anna Dendrinou's book "The Snowflake and the Lonely Tree" (in Greek) was presented on Thursday, December 5th, to our Kindergarten students. Our library also participated in the event!

Celebrating Grandparents day!
Our Pre-K school organizes along with our Library in the Pre-K premises a book reading for Pre-K students and their grandparents of the book "Grandad's secret giant" (by David Litchfield).

As part of the innovative Literacy Program, Ms. Traka and Ms. Baba from “Dimitris and Aliki Perrotis” library organize a book presentation of “Aspasia’s brother” (in Greek) by its author, Mr. Manos Kontoleon. The 4th grade students of the Elementary school attend the presentation.
Reading Book Club meets author Isidoros Zourgos!
The famous Greek author from Thessaloniki, Mr. Isidoros Zourgos, meets our Reading Book Club's members at MOB cafeteria downtown Thessaloniki, in order to discuss his book "Aidonopita".
Giannis Servetas presents his book
As part of the innovative Literacy Program, Ms. Koutsomiha and Ms. Traka of our library organize a book reading of "The Bitten Christmas Cookie" by its author Mr. Servetas on Wednesday December 13th 2017, to our 1st grade Elementary students.
Reading Book Club and Luis Sepúlveda!
The Reading Book Club of the Secondary School students will meet to share and discuss their reading experience of the book "The story of a seagull and the cat who taught her to fly" by Luis Sepúlveda, translated in Greek. Students will engage in various experiential activities along with a secret guest!

Greek author Michalis Moulakis is invited to present his latest book "A yellow leaf" (in Greek) this Wednesday, November 22nd, to our second grade elementary students in the Elementary School's Media Room. Our library is also participating in this event!

As part of the innovative Literacy Program, AFS Elementary School together with the "Dimitris & Aliki Perrotis" library organized on March 21st the presentation of the book "The purple umbrella" (in Greek) by its author, Mrs. Alki Zei, via Skype to our 5th graders.
Marilena Kavvada's book presentation
Greek author Marilena Kavvada's book "Bloom! A journey along with words, notes, and pictures" (in Greek) will be presented this Friday, October 13th, to our Kindergarten students. Our library is also participating in this event!
The painting that travels
As part of the innovative experiential Literacy Program, Primary School teachers in cooperation with the ‘Dimitris and Aliki Perrotis’ library staff organize the presentation of the book ‘The painting that travels’ with the presence of the author Eleni Gkika. Students of the second grade will attend the presentation and participate in related activities.
Agricultural newspaper
We launched our subscription to the weekly agricultural newspaper Ypaithros Hora. Come by the library and get informed on the latest agricultural developments.
Koha, the new library catalog
Our library transfered its resources from Its old Integrated Library System and online Catalog to a new, web-based, open-source system called ‘Koha’.

Reading Book Club and Erotokritos
The Reading Book Club of the Secondary School students welcomes the authors of the well received comic 'Erotokritos' based on the famous Cretan chivalrous epic work from Polaris publishing. The authors, Georgios Gousis, Dimosthenis Papamarkos and Giannis Ragos will be present.

The Reading Book Club of the Secondary Schools meet at the library with author Tasos Papanastasiou on the occasion of his book release '14 days'.
