Search for Print Books in other Libraries in Thessaloniki!
[the platform is in Greek]

The 'Dimitris and Aliki Perrotis' Library gives you the opportunity to search for and borrow a print book from another Library in Thessaloniki, by announcing its cooperation with the Interlibrary Loan Network "Thess-βιβλίο": the first Interlibrary Loan Network in Greece that includes municipal, academic and private libraries.

The Libraries which are participating in this network are: the Municipal Libraries of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, Kalamaria, ThermiPavlos Melas, and the Library and Information Centre of the University of Macedoniaare already participating in this Network; the Municipal Library of Ampelokipoi-Menemeni is also willing to participate.

The procedure to borrow a book from one of the Libraries mentioned above is simple
  1. You come to our Library with your Library Card and make your request at the Front Desk for the book you want.
  2. If we don't have it in our library, we search for it through the Network and inform you of its availability.
  3. If it is available in another library and belongs to the collection that they lend to external users, we initiate the process of placing a hold for that book, or - if you live near the library in question - we inform you accordingly so that you can go yourself to pick up the book you requested.
  4. The interlibrary loan period is 14 days.
