About ten kilometers (6 miles) east of downtown Thessaloniki – Greece’s second largest city, with a population of 1.5 million residents – lies the American Farm School and Perrotis College campus, which is situated at 54 Marinou Antipa Street.

 

• By Air

Located five kilometers east of campus, Macedonia International Airport (SKG) offers frequent service to and from Athens, as well as many major European and international destinations.

 

• By Train or Bus

Both the KTEL Bus Terminal on the west side of the city and the OSE Thessaloniki Train Station in downtown Thessaloniki receive trains and busses from Greek and European locations. Both locations offer local bus and taxi services. Take the No. 8 bus to the OSE Thessaloniki Train Station from the KTEL Bus Terminal. Take the No. 10 bus to its Harilaou terminal using the same ticket. Take the No. 66 bus to the American Farm School, which is the seventh stop, using the same ticket.

 

• By Metro and Bus

The Metro is modern, fast and very useful for moving around the city.

To reach the American Farm School, you will still need a bus connection, because the Metro does not come directly to the School. You need to take bus no.66 or no. 58M, which you find right outside the “Nea Elvetia” metro terminal. More specifically: take the Metro towards “Nea Elvetia” and then connect with bus no.66 or no. 58M – both of them go between the Metro Station “Nea Elvetia” and the district of Thermi – and disembark at the “American Farm School” bus stop.

 

• By Car

If you are arriving in Thessaloniki from the south, west, or north, you have two primary options:

 

— Via the Ring Road (Periferiaki Odos):

Follow the Ring Road east, heading toward Macedonia Airport and the Halkidiki peninsula. Take Interchange 12, located near the eastern end of the Ring Road. As you exit, stay in the center lane and follow the left fork toward Halkidiki. Continue for one kilometer until you reach the first exit, marked for Thermi/Finikas. At the Stop sign, turn right and drive under the overpass to the traffic light. Turn right to enter the American Farm School.

 

— Driving through Thessaloniki:

Follow the coastal road (Nikis Boulevard, Alexander the Great Boulevard) with the harbor on your right, passing the White Tower. Follow signs for Makedonia Airport and Halkidiki. Once you pass the Macedonia Palace Hotel, stay in the left lane for 2 kilometers, then take the left fork. Continue for 6 kilometers until you reach a traffic light with a left-turn arrow marked for Halkidiki. Turn left and proceed for 1 kilometer. Immediately after the overpass, turn right at the traffic lights to enter the American Farm School.
